Important Notes on Speed and Data Security
1. Port Information: Both the USB-C and USB-A ports support the USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) protocol. To achieve maximum speeds, please ensure that your computer or device’s port also supports USB 3.2 Gen 1.
Using older ports (such as USB 2.0) will limit the flash drive’s performance and result in slower speeds.
2. Speed Considerations: Insert the flash drive quickly and firmly. When connecting to a computer or smartphone, insert the flash drive quickly and decisively.
Inserting the drive slowly may trigger legacy mode (USB 2.0), reducing speeds to 30–40 MB/s.
3. Data Security Precautions: Avoid interruptions. Never remove the flash drive while files are being transferred. Removing it abruptly may damage the data or the flash drive.
Always eject safely. Before disconnecting the flash drive, use the system’s “Safely Remove Hardware” feature (Windows) or “Eject” function (macOS/Android).
4. Dual Interfaces: USB-A 3.2 and USB-C compatible. Default format: EXFAT
5. Capacity Note: A 64GB flash drive typically displays as approximately 58GB on Windows systems. macOS systems may display the full 64GB.
This is due to a binary calculation difference in Windows and does not affect the flash drive’s actual physical storage capacity.
Q1: Why is the actual capacity lower than advertised?
A: There is a discrepancy between how storage hardware manufacturers calculate capacity and how operating systems recognize it. Hardware manufacturer capacity calculation standard: 1GB = 1024MB, 1MB = 1024KB. Operating system capacity calculation standard: 1GB = 1000MB, 1MB = 1000KB. When formatting the storage device on different operating systems, the formatted capacity will be less than the rated capacity. According to international standards, a storage device is considered a qualified product if its actual usable capacity is greater than or equal to 90% of the rated capacity.
Q2: Why is the actual speed lower than the advertised value?
A: The speeds we advertise (as tested by CrystalDiskMark 7.0) represent peak performance under ideal laboratory conditions. Actual transfer speeds may vary due to various factors, including remaining drive
capacity, average file size, system resource availability, and the number of files being transferred simultaneously. Compared to a large number of small files, a single large file typically achieves higher sustained transfer speeds. To ensure the product reaches its maximum read and write speeds, please verify that the USB cable (if used) and the host device’s USB port both support the corresponding high-speed USB interface.
Q3: Is heat generation normal?
A: It is normal for high-performance storage devices to generate moderate heat. Our products undergo rigorous thermal testing to ensure safe operation within standard parameters. The metal casing actively dissipates heat from
critical components, protecting data and drive integrity. When extreme temperatures are detected, advanced thermal management technology automatically reduces performance. Environmental conditions significantly affect heat generation—similar to how smartphones get noticeably hotter in the summer.
Q4: How do I safely disconnect the drive?
A: To prevent data loss and avoid damaging the drive, please complete all active transfers before disconnecting. Always use the operating system’s removal tool, and never unplug the drive during read or write
operations. Windows: Click “Safely Remove Hardware” in the system tray.
macOS: Right-click the drive icon on the desktop → Select “Eject [Drive Name]”. Android: Tap “Eject” in the storage settings.
